Take It Outside…

Today was opening day of the Oregon Youth Turkey season and I was honored to accompany and film 9 year old Spencer on his first hunt. Our guide, Jeff Heil took us on quite the excursion in search for a cooperative tom turkey.

There is really no substitute for getting outside with your backpack on climbing Western mountains. This seemingly short hike landed me with sore calves. A good reminder that I need to incorporate calf workouts more frequently into my gym program. I was completely impressed with Spencer as he hiked without complaint through the steep terrain!
