Buck Knives Factory Tour

“If this is your first Buck knife, “welcome aboard.” You are now part of a very large family. We think of each one of our users as a member of the Buck Knives family.

Now that you are family, you might want to know a little more about us. The fantastic growth of Buck Knives, Inc. was no accident. From the beginning, we determined to make God the Senior Partner. In a crisis, the problem was turned over to Him, and He hasn’t failed to help us with the answer. Each knife must reflect the integrity of management. If sometimes we fail on our end, because we are human, we find it imperative to do our utmost to make it right. If any of you are troubled or perplexed and looking for answers, may we invite you to look to Him, for God loves you.

-Originally Authored by Al Buck, added to by Chuck Buck, and now upheld by CJ Buck

Buck Knives, founded in 1902 by Hoyt Buck using wore out file blades as raw material to hand craft knives that would hold and edge longer. That ongoing commitment to the creation and development of new products has put Buck on the map as the leader in knife manufacturing heading into the fourth generation of successful knife making.

Today, not much has changed within the Buck Family; publicly proclaiming faith in our Creator, giving Him the glory of life and that the company is concerned with spiritual profits in addition to making the best knives in the world.

Buck is a company with a faith as hard as the steel that the knives are forged from and it is an honor to be a customer of Buck as well as an ambassador for such a profoundly inspirational company. Being a part of that family made stopping by the factory for a behind the scenes tour of what goes into making such fine knives with the famous, “Forever Warranty” on the top of my list.

Meeting with the Buck Team, CJ Buck, Joe Piedmont, Rachel Rogers, Jennifer, Stephanie Young, and Jacob Siembida, discussing ideas for new knives, how I use knives afield, and more. Product innovation from a grass roots level, this is what Buck is all about.

After the meeting was over, Billy Bates, who has personally manned nearly every phase of knife production took me on a tour of the plant. It was truly impressive the amount of knives that the employees produce daily and how much care and hands on craftsmanship goes into each and every knife.

The wide assortment of knives from fixed blades, folding to custom creations, Buck even makes beautiful knives that feature gorgeous handles made out of elk antler. No detail is over looked. The knives are hand sharpened and tested with each one literally cutting through paper before being boxed up and shipping out.

It is an honor to work with a company that since 1902 has literally put their faith and family, and the love of our creator into each and every knife. The quote at the beginning of this story is a small proclamation that is placed within each completed knife, this BIG message has reached nearly millions of people every year. If you are not already part of the Buck family of knives, get online today at Cabela’s and join our family by carrying the #EdgeOfALegend
