On this episode of Wild & Uncut, we sit down with the President & Founder of National Rifle League Hunter Series, Travis Ishida. Being a first generation hunter, it is easy to hear the passion he has for the sport. Being a proficient marksman and understanding what it takes to be successful in his pursuit to provide meat for his family, Travis started NRL Hunter in hopes of other hunters/shooters wanting to take their skills to the next level. Whether you’re a first time competitor or it’s your hundredth match, the NRL Hunter uses the excitement and stress of competition to create realistic shooting scenarios that will test the marksman and their knowledge of their equipment.
The goal of “education through competition” is to help make you the most effective version of yourself; the NRL will surely do just that! NRL’s mission statement: Hunting isn’t merely a hobby or pastime, it is our way of life. For us, it is about community, education, and a strong foundation of ethical harvesting. It is the desire to be the most proficient hunter possible, it is this passion that has driven us to develop the NRL HUNTER series of matches.
