Packing with Jozie Coy – Round 3

There is never a shortage of incredible experiences every time you head into the backcountry. On this trip, the rain and fog set in for a few hours and as it lifted it revealed a huge of elk that had moved into the basin within a hundred yards of our tent. Frankie had never seen elk and as she curiously approached them (she has an uncanny ability to ignore the word “come”) and they put to go to her!! Frankie has some obedience work that needs to be done so she doesn’t get taken out by a wild animal!! It’s always sad to pack up and go back to reality but I’m always thankful and grateful for the time spent in these remote places that few are blessed to ever experience.
