This week is Gun Storage Check Week, part of NSSF Project Childsafe’s ongoing mission to save lives through responsible firearm storage. We know suicide isn’t an easy topic to talk about, but it’s one we must talk about. Creating even a small pause between the moment someone considers suicide and the ability to act can make all the difference. Securely storing firearms can be that pause. Every lock, every safe, every decision to secure a firearm matters. Because in those critical seconds, there’s a chance for someone to re-think, to reach out, to choose life.
