Packing Dad’s Elk with my Ladies!

What an unforgettable 2025 elk hunt with my dad! ❤️ Not only did we have an incredible hunt, but my young mules, Lexi and Lynx, packed all the meat off the mountain like seasoned pros. Little Lexi was such a trooper, standing ground tied (we practice this every time we saddle) as we loaded the panniers full of meat. And, she bravely walking past the carcass, which can be pretty intimidating for young stock.

My white mule, Cowgirl was a Queen, carrying the antlers without moving a muscle while we tied them on. I couldn’t be more proud of my three-year-olds, and of Cowgirl for how far they’ve come. What a special way to celebrate this harvest, with my dad and these amazing mules that are growing into something truly special. ❤️🐴
