Mule Training Pays Off…

In May, I spent time working with Lexi and elk antlers (she was pretty afraid of them) as part of her training (and a special project I’ve been working on 😉). Well… looks like that time paid off! This moment from my dad’s hunt just melts me, little Lexi grazing on hobbles, totally unfazed by the elk head, deciding the grass between the antlers was exactly what she needed to eat. No fear, just pure curiosity and calm confidence. I’ve worked so hard to prepare my young mules for moments like this, and it’s paying off. Another year from now, they’ll be packing elk antlers off the mountain with complete trust in me. This is what it’s all about. ❤️
