August 7, 2016MDF- Women Making A Difference
August 7, 2016The National Rifle Association Range Safety Officer (RSO) program was developed in response to the demand for a nationally recognized range safety officer certification. The RSO demonstrates the knowledge, skills and attitude essential to organizing, conducting and supervising safe shooting activities and range safety operations.
In order to better serve the shooting ranges and educational firearms training events that I participate and instruct, I am proud to announce that I have completed my certification as an NRA RSO. This is in addition to my currently held NRA certifications as pistol and Refuse To Be A Victim instructor.
The RSO certification expands my role and responsibility at the range to include range inspections, range rules, firearm stoppages and malfunctions, range safety briefings which include procedures to follow in the event of an emergency.
