It was a fantastic weekend shooting the JC Steel Targets, National Rifle League match in Washington. I cannot wait to share this episode with you all later this month, especially the helicopter shooting portion! Jake Vibbert is the ultimate host and everyone had a great time at the event. I had a fantastic squad, Paul H, Paul Dallin, Nick, Greg Herbert, Brain, Jeremy Swanson, Ryan, Mike and Verl. I really look up to these guys as shooters and really appreciate all of the help that they each gave me over the weekend.
Our tie breaker stage was a 4 shot group at 300 yards. Mine measured in at 1.39″ using my factory Ruger Precision Rifle chambered in 6mm Creedmoor, Nightforce Optics ATACR 7-35×56 and factory Hornady ELD Match ammo. The group was shot after engaging two different targets in a 90 second timeframe so needless to say it was under pressure.
People often ask me how I like my set up, the answer is pretty easy, my rifle, optic and ammo combination shoot better than I can.
